Why Saudade Mind Lab?

"Saudade" is a Portuguese word with no direct English translation. It's a deep, bittersweet longing for something or someone absent, holding love, memory, and the ache of distance all at once.

It perfectly captures what so many immigrants carry: that complex feeling of missing home while knowing you can't go back to who you were before.

But it can also be saudade for yourself, for parts of your identity you feel you've lost along the way.

This practice is about honouring that longing without letting it consume you. About holding space for all the complexity of living between worlds.
